Danza de Los Viejitos( The Dance of Little Old Man)
Region: Michoacan Costumes: They wear spectacular clothes with wooden-sole shoes. Also, they wear pink masks and have a white beard carry around canes. How this dance is done: The dancer would walk around with there canes acting like old men, and make loud noises with their wooden-sole shoes.

The Concheros
Region: Central America Costumes: They wear colorful cloaks and headdresses with gold trimmings and bright feathers. How this is done: The dancers would form two circles with the youngest on the outside and the oldest on the inside, but dancers with rattles, drums, and other instruments stay in the center. Then once they dancers get the signal they begin to move simultaneously. The dancers in the inner dance with slow movements, and the dancers on the outside move vibrantly.While this is happening they are singing.

Region: Southern Mexico Costume: Dancers wear yellow fluffy headgear. Wooden mask painted pink to mimic the hair and complexion of the "white" man. The ladies wear ruffled peasant tops and bright floral skirts. The men wear serape dress. How this is done: The dancers move gracefully to the melody of the flute and rhythm of the drums. The masked saints sing out blessings.

Jarabe Tapatio/ The Mexican Hat Dance. Region: Guadalajara Costume: The women wear "China Poblana" outfits. Also known as bright colored skirts and peasant tops. Then men wear "Charro" outfits. It is bases on the Mexican cowboy tradition. How it's done: This dance is about courtships and flirting. Normally a group of couples or couples preform it. The man tries to woo the woman and after many struggles he succeeds.

Danza de los Voladores/ Dance of the Flyers
Region: Central Mexico Costume: Red pants and white shirts with a red sash across the chest. How it is done: The dances start by standing around a pole, asking for god permission to climb it. One man sits on the platform atop the pole. Then he begins to play the flute or the drums. While this is happening the others fasten the rope around their waist, and fall backwards to decent to the ground.

Region: Guatemala Costume: dressed in European costumes. They also have feathered-headgear, traditional costumes,and carry bow and arrows. How it is done:The dancers enact the battle between the two empires through dance and acting. The Spaniards are shown wearing wooden masks with rosy cheeks and fair complexion. The Spaniards act fierce and authoritative, but the natives act subdued.

Region:Guerrero Costume: the dancers war an elaborate headdress depicting the next and up of a deer. The hunter wears a mask and carries a bow and arrow. There are rattles, bells, and drums preformed too. How it is done:The main deer is prancing around making agile movements, and when he sees the hunter approaching he becomes alert. Then the deer tries to run but the hunter shoots it. This heartfelt dance often makes the spectators weep and mourn, as they watch the deer taking its last breath.

Chinelos Dance/ Jumping Dance
Region: Central Mexico Costume: People wear carnival masks and dress like Spanish Elite who are shown wearing 'fair skinned' masks and black beards. Also a huge hat is also worn with this costume. How it is done: The Chinelos is more of an act than a dance with it s elaborate movements. Jumping is an essentiale: part of this dance.
